The fan layer for Florida indie shows · Jacksonville first
mediaplustech opts Florida fans into the bands and venues they actually want to see — by city, by genre, on their phone — and gives the scene the booking tools to run on. Built for the rooms still standing after Crowbar.
Empty rooms are the biggest losing battle in the local scene. mediaplustech opts Florida fans in by city and genre, then routes them to the bands and venues they actually want to see — with the booking tools to run the show end-to-end.
Tap the genres you love and the cities you live in. We'll push you original Florida shows by bands you'll actually want to see — before tickets sell out and before friends ask what you're up to.
Stop hoping 30 friends show up. Connect your IG, Spotify, and email list, and the platform routes opted-in Jacksonville fans of your genre to your shows the moment a booking confirms — turning "we draw 50" into a real, contractable number.
See how many opted-in fans of an artist's genre are active in your city — before you confirm the booking. Then push the show straight to that audience the moment the contract is signed. Reach the bar can measure, not Instagram followers you can't.
Independent bookers and sound engineers get the same one-thread workflow — roster dashboards, day-rate profiles, and verified show counts. Built in, not bolted on.
Most bands, venues, and bookers are piecing shows together across five different apps. mediaplustech collapses that into one thread — so the music gets made, not the admin.
You're good. Your live show is tight. But every booking run looks the same — cold DMs that go nowhere, contacts who ghost, gigs that fell through because the contract never got sent. You're spending more time chasing shows than playing them.
Meanwhile, other acts — sometimes with less to offer — keep landing the rooms you want. Not because they're better. Because they had a professional EPK ready when it mattered, and someone followed up. The scene rewards visibility and follow-through.
mediaplustech builds you a profile that works while you rehearse. Venues find you based on genre, draw, and local fit. Offers, contracts, and payouts all live in one thread. You show up, play, and get paid.
Add media, scene tags, draw estimates, and booking details in one profile that venues can act on.
Venues in your city see you based on real fit criteria — not cold reach-outs to strangers.
Accept the offer, sign digitally, confirm the payout split — all in one thread, same day.
Every confirmed show strengthens your profile. Better-fit venues reach out next time.
Pick your role and walk through the part of the product that matters to you. The demo is short, practical, and built to show how a real booking moves forward.
For Bands & Artists
Beyond your EPK and booking thread, mediaplustech gives bands two channels to convert opted-in Florida fans before the show — turning "we draw 50" into a number a venue will sign for.
Stream a set or open a chat with fans before they buy a ticket. Same infrastructure that lets bookers preview your energy now lets opted-in Florida fans watch you, follow, and click "going" — with a Buy Tickets CTA right in the chat.
Connect your IG, Spotify, and email list once. The platform routes opted-in fans of your genre in your city to your shows the moment a booking confirms — and shows the venue your engaged reach before they sign.
Find Venues
A half-empty Friday is a business problem. See engaged-fan reach by genre and neighborhood before you confirm a booking — then push the show straight to those opted-in fans the moment the contract is signed. Bar revenue you can measure, not Instagram followers you can't.
See how many opted-in fans of an artist's genre are active in your city in the last 30 days — before you click confirm. Reach you can put in a contract, not a hope.
Artists filtered by genre, draw, and neighborhood — ranked by Florida scene fit, not follower count. Discover emerging Jacksonville acts before everyone else does.
Send a structured offer, sign digitally, and the platform pushes the show to matching local fans the moment it confirms. Pay per attributed RSVP — not a flat monthly fee while your room sits empty.
Built in · For Bookers
Running multiple artists across venues shouldn't mean living in your inbox. Every hold, offer, contract, and payout — attached to the show, not buried across 12 threads.

We're starting in Jacksonville — Riverside, Five Points, Downtown, San Marco, Springfield, Jax Beach — because that's where we live and the work gets done in person. We're building the platform Florida indie venues need to survive what's already happening to rooms like Crowbar. Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Gainesville, and St. Pete next.
Fans opt in by city and the genres they actually go out to see — not algorithmic spam from a tour algorithm. Bands and venues see provable, engaged reach before a show is confirmed.
Earned by artists and venues with completed profiles, a confirmed booking history, and validated local scene tags. Not just "joined" — actually active and accountable in their market.
We're not going to show you made-up platform stats. We're early, we're honest about it, and we'd rather earn your trust with a product that actually works than a number on a homepage.

Neon Axis is a four-piece alternative rock band from Jacksonville, Florida — forged in the underground and built for the stage. With a sound that lives somewhere between shoegaze atmospherics and hard-driving indie rock, they've carved out a loyal following across the Southeast over the past five years.
Their 2023 debut LP Voltage Kids drew comparisons to early Interpol and mid-era Editors, earning coverage from several regional outlets and landing them a coveted slot at Riverside Music Festival. Their live show is known for its intensity — cinematic lighting, walls of reverb, and a frontman who never stops moving.
Currently working on their sophomore record with producer Lou Gaines (Third Man Records), Neon Axis is booking select support and headlining slots through Spring 2026.

My specialty is high-energy live formats: funk, soul, jazz fusion, and anything with a rhythm section that needs to breathe. I also run multitrack live recordings alongside FOH, so bands walk away from every show with usable audio.

— Five shows worth your weekend —
Good morning. This is a preview of what arrives Thursday — the five-pick format, the one-paragraph blurbs, the genre + neighborhood tags. The actual picks below are placeholders until the first real issue ships. When it does, it'll read in this voice, from someone who's actually been in the rooms. Reply if you want to be on the first list.— M.
This is where the one-paragraph blurb goes — a real opinion on why this specific show matters this week, in plain language, written by someone who'd actually go.
When an opener is the real reason to go, this is where we'd say so — and tell you to be there for doors, not the headliner.
Release shows get their own slot. Specific record, specific room, why it matters that you hear it live the first night it drops.
Free, family-friendly, outdoor shows get a slot. You shouldn't need to spend money to count it as your night out.
When a touring act lands in Jax on a single date, it goes in this slot — with a sentence on why this stop matters for the scene, not just the band.
"The Music Hub" — every day, all week.
One of the only Jax rooms running seven days a week of live music, mostly free, mostly local. Here's everything Pierre's has on this week — afternoons through close. If you're in town and not sure where to start, start here.
From Marcos · Drums
I grew up in this scene as a percussionist, and most weeks I find out about a great Jacksonville show two days after it happened, from a friend who actually went. That's been true for fifteen years. It's not the bands' fault. It's not the venues' fault. There just isn't a single place where someone tells you — clearly, weekly, with an opinion — what's worth your Friday night.
So I'm going to be that single place. Every Thursday morning. Five shows. One paragraph each. No algorithm guessing at your taste, no calendar dump, no twelve emails a week. Just the list I'd give a friend who texted me asking what to do this weekend.
Some of the bands are friends. Some of the venues are friends. I'll tell you when that's the case. It will never be the reason something makes the list.
The newsletter is free and will stay free. It's the consumer side of a platform I'm building called mediaplustech, which is trying to help Florida's independent venues stay open by routing real local fans to local original shows. You're the first version of "real local fans." When the platform launches with city-and-genre opt-in for show alerts, you're already opted in.

Honest answers below. Reply to any issue if yours isn't here.
How often will you email me?
Once a week. Thursday morning. That's it — no Tuesday roundup, no "bonus thread," no Black Friday sale. One email a week, or you should unsubscribe.
What if I don't live in Jacksonville?
You'll get less out of this. Sign up anyway if you visit Jax for shows. Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Gainesville, and St. Pete are on the roadmap — you'll be first to know.
Is this a band promo thing?
No. Bands don't pay to be in it. Venues don't pay to be in it. Nobody pays to be in it. It's curation, not advertising. If a friend's band makes the list, the show is worth your weekend on its own merits — and I'll say so.
What does it cost?
Free. Always will be. The newsletter is mediaplustech's way of building a Jacksonville fan community before the platform launches — eventual revenue comes from venues paying for fan reach, not from you.
What's mediaplustech?
A platform for Florida's independent music scene — connecting local fans to local original shows, and helping the rooms still standing after Crowbar stay open. More at mediaplustech.com.
Can I reply to the emails?
Please. Replies go to me, not a no-reply inbox. Tell me what you went to, what I missed, which venue I'm sleeping on, which band I need to hear. The list gets better when you push back.
First issue arrives this Thursday morning. Watch for the Promotions tab.
